@Momofson2022 - Regular decision for VT was ridiculous this year. Of the 32,000 apps they received, only 3000 were ED. The RD pool was exceptionally competitive and they dropped the acceptance rate from 70% to 56%.
DD excepted off the waitlist!
@ffxcountymom Congrats on the good news! .

Congrats! Can you please share how you heard? Mail or email? Thank you.
My daughter was called by her admission rep last Tuesday. The packet came in the mail on Monday.
My daughter was accepted off the waitlist but did not receive any money. Will the total cost be close to $45,000 a year?
@bigheadfan That sounds about right for OOS.
I think we may end up somewhere more affordable for the first two years!
The board of trustees meet in June to discuss tuition and other cost increases so you can bet that you will be paying more than $45k COA next year. I would think they increase OOS to $47,000 or so based on past increases.
I love that they tell us about next year COA increases AFTER students have made their commitment to attend their school.
@NPKR01 Their timing is unfortunate but they have no control over the state legislature and USC has to wait until the state passes next years higher ed budget before USC can determine their budget.
@bigheadfan what are her stats? and how did she find out- mail, phone call, portal?
