EC: I just listed 10 activities in my common app, but nothing really too special. No award or anything

Any idea when NUin locations for 2018 will be chosen?

Never mind I just found it. Looks like February 1st

Does anyone know when the next wave will be out? Will they keep coming out today, maybe?

Accepted to Northeasternā€™s honors program and College of Engineering!

GPA: 4.24W

ACT: 35 (one sitting)

9 APs over 4 Years
Most rigorous course at my school for honors and APs

I was a member of NHS, head of student admissions team, Varsity swim team captain, member of key club, and a member of varsity softball. I also had two photography internships and started my own business with it.

@kkizzle1217 All ED I decisions should be out. If you applied EA those decisions are not scheduled to be out until January. If you applied ED I, call them.

Was accepted ED to CCIS with $12k Deanā€™s Scholarship

ACT: Applied with 31, retook in October and received 35
GPA: 3.8-4.0 depending on how it is scaled
Subject Tests: Didnā€™t send
APs: Taking 3 senior year, only AP test was self-study for computer science, got a 4
ECs: Taught myself to code, got a Udacity iOS Nanodegree, wrote a bunch of open source software and worked a few jobs writing software, brought my software skills to community service work, Eagle Scout

Good luck to everyone applying EA!

Notes: I chose really low placement classes and declined a bunch of AP and honors recommendations from teachers (mostly took regents classes and never took calc), since I focused a lot on coding outside of school and didnā€™t want to be brought down by homework-- in retrospect that wasnā€™t the greatest move

Hi! I am applying as a nursing major too, a 3.4 weighted gpa, 35 act, only one AP this year (ap computer science) but all other classes are honors/advanced honors. I also noted that i missed a lot of school freshman and sophomore year because of my health. I was gonna apply regular decision, but honestly, do I even have a chance? I donā€™t wanna apply if thereā€™s no point. Thank you!

@koyfish1

A 35 ACT should make your application plenty competitive. It is hard to predict how your ACT/GPA imbalance will affect applications, so you should generally be taking many chances at as many schools as your reasonably can along with having sure safeties. Schools like Northeastern are good places to take chances. Good luck!

Anyone know when EA should be coming out? Also, how were ED people notified? Email? Portal?

You receive an email saying your decision is available. A link is provided along with your login information to direct you to the portal where it tells you.

thank you!!
