@koyfish1
If your GPA is dragged down by your freshman and sophomore years because of your health, but there was a significant improvement your junior year, I would definitely apply. You have a compelling reason for low grades and your ACT is excellent. Have your guidance counselor mention your illness in his/her recommendation so it is validated by a school official. (I believe you, but technically, anyone can make up a good story for low grades.) Good luck!
Please everyone, please put “chance me’s” or any questions/comments that are not decisions in a separate thread. This will help you, the posters, get quicker answers to your questions and will allow applicants a clean decision thread specific to decisions and the stats of those accepted, denied, etc.
thank you all and best of luck!

@22college22 I’m probably going to choose Greece. It looks amazing there!
Did you apply ED or EA? Congrats!!
EA decisions are not being sent out yet @kkizzle1217
I think EA decisions are supposed to come out tomorrow…?? Not positive but after scouring forums from last year, it looks like EA decisions normally come out a week after ED decisions and typically on a Friday. Can anyone confirm/deny?
I don’t think so since NEU has this year added an ED II round for which the deadline to apply is 01 January. I doubt that they would release EA notices before having received and conducted a preliminary evaluation on the ED II pool.
The ED II pool is going to contain a bunch of really smart kids who didn’t get lucky with their number 1 Ivy League pick and now submit an ED application with NEU.
The website says EA decisions come out by February 1st. That is a change from last year.
Rejected from School of Business
GPA: 102.5 W

This was my favorite school but they might have thought I was overqualified. I have crippling depression.
Sorry to hear @lonewanderer. Did you apply ED or EA?
With your profile I’m sure you will end up in nice place… Don’t despair.
@lonewanderer that sounds insane?? is there any way you can appeal/they didn’t even defer you? you’ll definitely get into some other awesome places though!
@lonewanderer You applied ED so being “overqualified” is irrelevant. In your other thread you say you had a 33 ACT, 34 superscored. Did you retake the ACT? Also your GPA is different.
Yes, @lonewanderer in another thread you say you applied EA as a computer engineering major, yet you from the school of business in the ED round. Which is it?
And in one thread you were a four year Cross Country/Track and Field athelete, and in another you are Football/Basketball/Baseball.
I applied RD, am I supposed to get an email at some point confirming this and giving me a way to access the decision portal? Or do they communicate solely through email? I already got my BU portal login.
@ACollegeHopeful3 How long ago did you apply? You should get an email with instructions on setting up your portal where you can see if your application is complete.
@bethanylm291 I applied on the 1st.
@ACollegeHopeful3 Then it will probably take a few more days.
alright, thanks! just wanted to be sure i didn’t glitch out of the system somehow. @TomSrOfBoston
