Hey everyone, I applied to GMU as an early action government and international politics major. I am an OOS applicant from Texas and am worried about getting in. Does anyone know when precisely and how we will find out?
Rank: 11/93…Top 12 percent
SAT: 1210
UW GPA: 3.61/4.0…96.2
W GPA: 4.27…102.4
Early College HS student graduating with an Associate’s degree and 62 college credits.
ECs: Long list
Recs and Essays were really good I think.
I don’t know what to think. It’s all so new and difficult coming from all the way in south Texas. What do you all think? I applied really early in October…Oct 15th I believe.
Decisions are supposed to be released on December 15 but last year we didn’t get our EA decision until early January. I think they were overwhelmed with applications. Just keep checking the portal, they will update that first. Than you will receive an email but not for several days after portal update. Good Luck!
I found a quick way to know if you got accepted I just tried…if you change your date om your phone to Dec 15 it will tell you your decision just tried it…it worked for me…so excited I got into my top choice…good luck to you all

I had great rec letters sent to all of my schools and I also reached out to the reps to explain my gpa. I missed a lot of school because I had facial reconstructive surgery twice in HS and am getting it 3 times in the next year. I believe this helped me display myself better and made then excuse such a low GPA
