There is an unusual amount of speculation going on here. Wash U will update the portal when they are ready to release and we will all know.
@jksdjksd11, are you rural or urban East Coast?
I got the same notification as @jksdjksd11 in my informed delivery so I’m very positive it is from WashU. I am from the midwest and don’t know anyone from MO and didn’t apply to SLU.
When did that email about the release time come last year?
good thing the USPS informed delivery wont verify me so i cant check
I can say that when S got his package from USC for early admission back in January, there was no USPS notification before it arrived. There was speculation that USC blocked notification or that your own settings have to be set in such a way, or simply that the post office misses many of the things they should do for package notification.
Congrats to those who got a USPS notification, but I do not think it means anything to not get one, especially for areas where it may be 2nd or 3rd day USPS delivery. Even if it was working, it would not likely show til tomorrow or the next day for many students anyway. Adding to that, by their own admission, USPS only guarantees about 95% of mail delivery so up to 5% are messed up, delivered to wrong address…
I would note that at least one of the two people who posted that they got notification was posting their first post and the other has only posted today.
I’m from Missouri and got a USPS notification late last night.
@knock00 My family and I haven’t ordered anything online for months, and it’s expected to release today. I’m not certain that it’s from WashU, but it seems to be the most likely option.
@Nomorelurker Suburban
@PPofEngrDr I didn’t apply to SLU.
@dogsrlife1317 Is your package coming from Pro Star Fulfillment?
So far 3 USPS notifications and not a single UPS. I believe in those 3 notifications. Bummer USPS, doesn’t verify me either for informed delivery online for leaving in same house more than 15 years and have to go to post office to verify. Well I will wait for portal to be updated later today or UPS for us.
@PPofEngrDr Two of those three notification posts are from folks who registered and posted their first post this morning and the other has barely posted which makes my suspicious post alert go off in my head. I could be wrong however.
Makes sense for MO residents to get package notification. A little surprised that jksdjksd11 on the East Coast got the notification.
The post office is notorious for misinformation. Last December, USPS said 2nd day for Georgetown EA letters for Atlanta and it came third day. Bottom line, nobody should be worried if they did not get the notification, even if in MO!
I live in TX and didn’t see anything on my USPS informed delivery. Should I be worried?
Thanks for looking out for us @JohnGaltIII . Even though I tend to believe the posts, that color change hoax earlier this week made me so irate and upset that I have been irritable about decisions coming ever since. So I do appreciate you pointing that out to us all.
@Ashtash, I don’t think you should be worried. If you go to the USPS Priority Mail Delivery site and input the Wash U zip code, which is 63130, some areas in Texas (big cities) are 2nd day and some rural areas are 3rd day. Atlanta, like I mentioned in an earlier post, shows 2nd day. FYI, many parts of rural MO show 2nd day as well. Parts of Illinois are showing up as one day.
Aren’t we supposed to get an email telling us to check our portals later? anyone know?
@JohnGaltIII didn’t we learn from last week, do our due diligence. If it turns out like what you are suspecting, please don’t blame me when I believed those posts, as I have no affiliation with those 3 accounts whatsoever.
I can promise that I am being honest. I just don’t post very often on CC, but I wanted to let everyone know because I’ve been following this thread for a while and everyone’s been expecting something. I’m not sure if it’s an acceptance and it’s very possible (if not likely) that it isn’t.
@PPofEngrDr I have no idea either way but when I see first time posts I take them with at least one grain of salt. But as I said, I am likely as wrong as right.
