@collegeplz2018 yes but I applied for the scholar deadline! wasn’t a finalist for that but was a “top applicant” and was accepted early with half tuition merit and the rest filled by financial aid!
Do you view waitlisted as “don’t hold your breath”?
The way I understand it, they will let you know after May 1. But, by that day, you have to pay deposit etc for any school you have been accepted. The probability of getting in after being waitlisted is very low.
Waitlisted. Genuinely surprised, since I thought I would have a full out rejection. I’m an international student and did not submit any SAT or ACT (They are not required for international students if you submit a request with a valid reason). I only submitted my predicted full IB diploma grade of 41. Guess this shows that WUSTL truly has a holistic approach with its candidates.

@Booajo - D was rejected with 1550 SAT and perfect IB predicted grades.
At some point you wonder - yield protection. Their yield I believe is actually quite bad - around 35% somone said on this thread. To improve that number you have to admit kids who will most likely attend.
I don’t have any other way to explain it.

denied. 3.8 UW GPA. 34 ACT. I honestly thought I had a chance with this one 
edit: im looking through this thread and it confuses me. why are there so many people with super above average stats getting denied?
Given that this is an early decision for RD, is this a bellwether of bad/good times to come towards April 1st?
