There is a scholarship letter below the decision letter if you received one. It also is included in your award information on ESTHER.

Did anybody else get the Rice Tuition Grant? It’s included in my financial aid package but I couldn’t find anything else about it so I want to make sure it’s legit haha

How do I find out which school I got into? I chose the school of social sciences as my top choice but I couldnt find it anywhere in the admission letter
Waitlisted… but still grateful as I got rejected from UCSD
I attended Vision2022 and was excited to attend, but actually surprised as I have an UW gpa of 91 (my school doesn’t do out of 4 RIP) but I do the full IB diploma so I guess my gpa wasn’t a major factor.
But then I also had a SAT of 1370 and ACT of 28 sooo…
I guess you can never tell with colleges, Fingers crossed.
From what I understand, students are accepted into Rice - not a particular school (except for School of Architecture and Shepherd School of Music, which have a different admission requirements). Students don’t have to declare their major until end of sophomore year. I think Rice asks about which school/schools you are applying to in order to evaluate potential in and match to the school (related ECs, grades/scores in related classes, etc). For example, a student applying to the School of Humanities would probably be evaluated differently than a student applying to the School of Engineering. But once a student is accepted, they can take classes in any school they want (except for possibly Arch and Music - not sure about that).
DD waitlisted. ACT 36, SAT 1570, talented artist, UW GPA 4.20 at very competitive private school.
More info on Rice admissions evaluation process. 11 percent acceptance rate this year. https://www.chron.com/news/article/Rice-accepted-just-11-percent-of-applicants-this-12777700.php
