Reflection: Honestly I felt that my SAT was too average for my other statistics but for some reason it was very difficult for me to study for the SAT despite taking prep classes. I’ve only taken it twice and received the same score both times with no essay. I believe what got me accepted was my organizations and the classes I was taking in relation to my major. I’ve taken courses such as AP Psychology, AP Government & Law, AP English Language & Composition, AP English Literature & Composition, AP Spanish Language & Culture, AP World History, AP US History, AP Biology, Global Studies, and Introduction to Business. I felt like all these classes were related to my major when looking at the course list online. I also had a school wide presentation on the Syrian Refugee Crisis in my club the Humanitarian Project (renamed Social Justice Club). I showed high interested in global affairs and humanitarian aid in my essay and got a letter of recommendation from my Genocide Studies teacher (global related) and Intro to Business teacher (someone I had a great connection with).

Good luck to the other applicants who still have choices to make!

P.S. While my SAT score is not a good reflection of who I am as a high-achieving student i’m sure they looked at my SRAR and saw that I had As in my AP classes, a high GPA, and made Honor Roll continuously. I also reported my AP Exam scores!
