Class of 2023 - Admissions decisions - University of Tennessee

@hokusei Thanks. Wow, maybe she should email and inquire. We’re out of state so the scholarship is pretty important.
Does anyone know if the Volunteer scholarship always comes with acceptance or does it sometimes come later?

@excitingtimes. My daughter’s acceptance email also had the volunteer scholarship information.

No harm in emailing your admissions counselor. What are your stats?

gpa: 3.3
sat: 1120

I would say your SAT is a little on the low side as their mid 50% range is 1210-1370 Also, is your GPA weighted or unweighted? The 3.3 also falls below their mid 50% range of 3.6 to 4.3. However, remember UTK adds 0.5 for any honors classes and 1.0 for any AP, IB or DE courses so that could raise it up some.

Did you email your admissions counselor? He or she should at least be able to confirm if you have submitted everything they need. This is probably their busiest time for reviewing applications so hang in there for now.

Note:

We kept checking and checking the portal, waiting for the “Status Update - An update to your application was last posted ----” to change to a new date. It remained with the same date. So we waited.

Today, we happened to click to re-read the initial letter, (the original date was still showing) and found out (HURRAY!) she had been accepted to Nursing. The date on the letter still shows the early October date and we have no idea how long the nursing acceptance has been on there.

So, if you are waiting, keep checking the actual letter on the portal, because they might update it without updating the date of the letter.
