Hi,
I am applying this year to US Universities, and I am in 12th year of my High School
I was thinking if you are also applying, so I created this post.
Which universities you are applying and how is your process going on? I would love to read your experience.
Well here’s mine, I am applying to these colleges (Hoping to study Astrophysics or Aerospace Engineering, lol still confused which one should I choose):::
Cornell University
Georgia Institute of Technology
New York University
Princeton University
Purdue University
Stanford University
University of Colorado Boulder
University of Pennsylvania
Yale University
California Institute of Technology (Caltech)
Hey, I’ll be applying too this year. And cornell is on the top of my list too.
I wanted to know if you’ll be applying for financial aid? Because everything I’ve read until now simply says that applying for financial aid would make my chances to get in extremely negligible to those^ universities.
Even if you’re not, can you name me few good universities which provide generous financial aid to international kids.
Thank you.
Hey my friend,
I too need a financial aid badly, coz even in Indian standards we may be middle class families but in US standards we fall below the lowest income barrier. I don’t know about your family’s status but I do know my own, my family simply cannot afford the whole tuition fee, unless we take a huge loan from bank. Hence, if US universities don’t provide me aid, probably I cannot fulfill my “space dreams in US”. That’s it only.
Oh and I also have MIT in my list as they have courses I love most and also they are a need blind institute. You should search on google need blind institutes and it will give a list of 6 universities that do not look whether you will be able to pay the money. Best of Luck. Hey also are you laboring for IIT?
Great talking to you
Best Regards
Only two or three schools offer need based financial aid to international students. Both ivy league level and incredibly difficult for international admissions. Admissions in general.
Especially coming from India and China.
On financial aid in US colleges for Indian students, experts on ChanceMe.in have answered some questions here: https://■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/topics/Financial%20Aid%20and%20Scholarships
Hope this helps. Please feel free to follow up with other questions.
Hi bro,
I am too from India and applying to
Stanford University (my top of the top choice)
Cornell University
Harvard University
Yale University
Princeton University
I think I have a good spike to drag some attention towards my profile. Also I am hard-labouring for IIT. Hope for the best.
Do applying to these Univs with Financial Aid for International applicants, reduces anyone’s chances??
Hello everyone! This has been unusually quiet in this thread. Has anyone applied to EA?
Will be applying before 31 Dec
My SAT subject scores include Physics 800 and Math II 790, I hope that they wont need 3 subject tests…
Hey there! Even though I’m still in grade 9, a freshman in high school, I completely agree…also I’m interested in Aerospace Engineering as well and I really want to study in probably Stanford or MIT…any suggestions for how to get through the next three years? Any words of advice??
