Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

@azmtmom13
My daughter got a “reserve” from RC of Scotland a few days ago by email link to their portal, which I guess is equivalent to wait list.

@azmtmom13 Yes, my son received a reserve last week.

@afterp89 oooooooooo…good plan!
I’ll look into it. It’d be good to get a visit done while waiting on other schools.

@azmtmom13 Waitlist for RCS here too!

@NYart15 Did she apply to the school after her walk in, or just fill out the form they gave at the walk in?

Has anyone received notification from Ohio Univ. yet? S received a “strongly considered” email after the LA Unif. contingent upon academic acceptance (which he received late last week). He did a Skype Q&A with the new department head - sounds like a promising new program.

@mtmom1967 She did the LIU paper application at the walk-in. They requested test scores, transcript, FAFSA after that. I called to be sure the paper application was all that was needed & they confirmed. No common app or online application required

@UKTOLA My D received academic acceptance/FA packet via the Ohio U. portal today. She hasn’t heard anything artistically since NYC unified walk-in. Thanks for the info. It seems worth the trip to visit if she gets in.

My D got an email today from OKCU and was admitted as a double major for Vocal/MT. She is very excited!

@UKTOLA to answer your question, D Got an artistic acceptance letter yesterday from Ohio U.

@NYart15 Congrats on LIU Post! My D also did a walk-in audition at LA Unifieds and really enjoyed meeting David Hugo.

@jbrown thanks and congrats to your D!

@jbrown - Did your D do a Skype session with Alan? Seem like a lot of the kids that did that are getting accepted. And if she did was it initiated by your D? Thanks

@frisbee3 she did not , but not Bc she wasn’t interested. Life just took over!

@jbrown - I totally get it! These kids have crazy schedules on top of all auditions. Thanks for responding and Congrats to your D!

Note - there’s a cross-reference list by date for those who self identify as "date anxiety "sufferers on p. 18 of this thread. Thanks @CaMom13

Today’s updates -

• @All4FSU posted on the venting thread that FSU MT decisions have been made and letters are being prepared and they expect to have them in the mail by Thursday. I presume that calls will go out in the next few days
• per @BrennaK - I think that Shenandoah will start notifying this coming week and finish by 3/10 (via phone for acceptances) if they stay consistent with past years. At the info meeting, they said they’d start the deliberations right after the last audition (which was 2/23) and then get all notifications out by 3/10.
@speezagmom reports on Minnesota/Duluth My S auditioned for Minnesota Duluth last year. He received his offer from them about a week - maybe 10 days - after their last audition, which was around the 15th of March on campus. The offer came as an email from the head of the program.
• Added Univ of OK - can’t call it OU - sorry - too many OU’s! sound - anyone now how/when they’ll notify?
• Added Elon per @broach 3/15 - all on the same day

Tweaked a few things based on all your comments - let me know if anything looks out of whack!

S received a phone call acceptance to Otterbein MT this morning. Have heard of one more going to a girl.

University of Oklahoma has made acceptance phone calls. Not sure about “no’s” or WL’s. My D received her phone call last week.

Hi, I don’t see Indiana on the master list. Anyone know when/how they have issued decisions in the past?

@azmtmom13 for Indiana last year accepted students were emailed in late February.
