Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

I have to say, that was one thing I really appreciated about CMU last year. Every one found out all at once, the same day, whether it was acceptance, rejection, or wait list. No weeks of anxiety asking if anyone heard anything!

In 2015 CMU made calls to accepted students as well as change in the portal. Hard copy letter followed.

Penn State starting to update portal

For those of you who have heard from Rider - was it a portal update or an email or snail mail? My D’s portal has read “Complete ready for review” all week. Not sure if they notify by email when they update portal. It did not when it changed from incomplete to complete, so my D is checking it constantly! Lol.
Ps she auditioned in chicago

My s checked Penn State portal. It looks like it is just an update on Honors College saying they will announce on Feb 19 but you have to be academically accepted to get an Honors College spot. Since MT and academic decisions are tied together at PSU, does that mean MT acceptances will be out before the 19th or are MT kids just going to miss HC opportunity? Is anybody else getting MT or other non HC notifications?

@LIMTMom LA auditionee–Rider portal went from Incomplete to Complete Ready for Review today.

@LIMTMom - On site audition Feb 9th - My D’s portal went from Incomplete to Complete Ready for Review today as well.

Anyone know how Hartt and Millikin (both rolling) are notifying? Any intel on Western Michigan?

@boola boola
My D got a no from Hartt 1/14 via email. She auditioned on campus 12/8.

First acceptance for my son! University of Northern Colorado. Whew!

@boola boola, last year my daughter got accepted to Hartt with a phone call.

My D Rider portal was updated just this morning to say Admitted, Deposit Required BA in Theatre (she asked to change at Unifieds). Does this mean she is in the program and not just admitted academically?

@mtmom3girls What school is it that you’re referring to?

Sorry, updated post to say Rider.

@“boola boola” my son did a walk-in with them. We vacation close to there every year. I’d give anything to be that near to the mountains all the time. Congratulations on the “yes!”

@mtmom3girls Sure sounds good to me. Only one way to find out!

@TexasMTDad Thanks!! My son was a walk in as well in NY. We didn’t know about the program, but I met a consultant there who said it was “up and coming” and strongly recommend that he try to audition. My son loved the head of the program who auditioned him. I LOVE Colorado, too!

D just received her second acceptance to Ohio Northern Musical Theatre in the mail today! So happy she has decisions to make!

@mtmom3girls Woohoo! Congrats!
