Do we know how often the “waves” go out of acceptances? I know this week they sent out @ 3000 for 2023. Just a mom waiting patiently for my daughter to hear something.???
Same - admission and merit scholarship arrived today
@momofmgc - just curious as to how you know they sent out 3,000 acceptances this week? That seems like a lot! My son is waiting also…hoping he hears soon!
Dd submitted the original parts of her application on 9/5, but other things (transcript, rec letters, etc.) trickled in until 9/25. She submitted her Honor College appl on 10/28, so not sure when we will hear about that. We are attending the Nov I2E event, so hopefully will learn more then. DD is 100% in on Baylor, although we are not yet at her enthusiasm level, we are getting there! Congrats to all who rec’d their admittance today and good luck and patience to those of you still waiting. Sic 'em Bears!
I also am curious when the honors college decisions come in. Right now in my portal it only says accepted to BIC, hopefully the other decisions come back soon!
@SAMomofOne on Instagram I am “friends” with beabaylorbear and on their story they showed that they had sent out around 3000 acceptance emails this week, then it said… check your Go Baylor account to see if you were one of them!! ??♀️???
My son applied early action this summer and had all of his documents in by early September–completed financial aid profiles as soon as they were available. He was notified like others mentioned–at first, an email came to both his address and my parent address telling him to check goBaylor for a special announcement and there it was! The streamers and confetti at the stadium—SO EXCITING!!! He is waiting to hear from Trinity and A&M engineering–very exciting that he’s already gotten 2 acceptances since his friends here in VA haven’t heard a thing yet. LOVE that it’s so early to give him time to think about his decision. It’s such a beautiful place and a fabulous education–we have felt the Baylor love from the very beginning. Good luck to all still waiting and many blessings!
Congrats GermanMama! I’m very happy for your son! saw your post on TAMU forum also. ?. My son is waiting for Baylor - his number one choice. It was hard yesterday as classmates and friends received their acceptances and he didn’t. Especially when his stats were better than many. But we will hold the faith. Just wish it wasn’t so stressful!
@SAMomofOne I completely understand, same here, hard on my daughter to see friends and others around her get accepted yesterday and yet it not be her time yet. We must keep the faith and know it will come. So happy for all who have gotten the exciting news! ??
Congratulations @GermanMama !! We also found out yesterday and are crazy excited! It’s funny that I’ve seen that 3 of us are also on the TAMU acceptance page too. I haven’t heard from them either. I tried to get my daughter to go see Trinity but she had no interest. But we are thrilled about Baylor. She’s ready to go today!
@MILWS101 when did you submit all part of your Honors College application?
In the acceptance email it says to pay the deposit by the deadline posted in your acceptance letter.
I hate to be this parent already but where is the acceptance letter? Is it something that’ll come through the mail?
@tdawns Yes. My son’s acceptance letter came through the mail a few days after he heard via his goBaylor account. The date on his says payment by 5/1. Today, an email came through with merit scholarship information listed.
To those still waiting . . .God’s plan is in action for each and every one of these kids. His plan and His time. Blessings!
@teaforwendy I submitted all of my honors application beginning of October.
Some of you mentioned that there were financial awards in your Go Baylor account already. Where do we find that information?
@momofmgc - Wanted to follow up on our posts from last week. I too was freaking out a little bit about 3,000 kids being accepted last week - even before the deadline to apply early action/early decision. But, I pulled the data set for Baylor (most current year available is 2017-2018). So, the data shows that 37,083 students applied and 14,442 were accepted. Of those that were accepted, 3,320 actually enrolled. So, I say this because based on history, there will probably be at least 11,000 more students accepted! I showed my son and he felt so relieved because there will be a lot more letters of acceptances coming and hopefully our kids will be in the next wave.
Here’s a link to Baylor’s Common Data Set if you’re interested:

@laxmom2000 On the acceptance page, under Profile there is a section called “Your Baylor Scholarship” and it lists the amount DD has been awarded.
@SAMomofOne Also, of the first group accepted, I read on a thread from last year that if you are attending the November I2E event (this coming weekend), you receive your official acceptance in advance of that; so that may have pushed a few people up in the initial 3000 that rec’d their acceptances. There will definitely be a lot more kids accepted. I know several who applied just in time to meet the EA deadline; and there will be more who apply regular decision and are accepted.
Ok, thanks! My son was accepted, but did not meet the automatic scholarship requirements. He is retaking his SAT in December. Hopefully, it won’t be too late to update.
@SAMomofOne Thanks for posting the data set link - I had NO IDEA Baylor was so heavily weighted to women. It’s roughly 60/40!
@laxmom2000 I think it’s a rolling selection, so December should be OK.
