@kevinchang an Applicant really doesnt have a say in their GPA, other than the Resume, WHICH i did to three decimals 4.235, for the heck of it. All that said doesnt do you any good if it doesnt match the official school report, so look at that first, which is what i did

She hasn’t heard back from Baylor.
Thoughts? Likelihood of Merit Aid?
@rockmom21 I would say your daughter has a good chance of acceptance. My son was accepted with a higher gpa (similar class size) but lower SAT. BU Web site has a scholarship calculator to help determine merit aid. They are very quick with their financial aid packages. Unfortunately, my son’s lower SAT did not earn enough merit aid to attend BU.
@Rockmom21 Chances are good to great. I would guess 16-18 in Merit Aid, It looks like she didnt apply EA because you wouldve had your answer already. I hope you dont wait very long, Baylor is a good school and sometimes they wait till the very end of the admission period to announce (Ala NC STate or Tulane)
thank you @laxmom2000 and @ZeeMeZeeYou , very helpful comments! I hope she doesn’t have to wait too long either!
Will they continue giving out acceptances throughout January or are they waiting till April to put out decisions?
My D applied to Baylor Regular Decision in December. Do we have to wait till end of March to find out whether she got accepted or not?
my d applied 11/12 and still hasnt heard. and i totally expect admittance. fyi she didnt respond to any of the optional essay questions so not sure if that impacts as well.
I applied RD and got my acceptance today so it is definitely possible to hear a little early! I wouldn’t even call myself an exceptional applicant, so I was surprised to hear back so early.
I applied Regular Decision and I got my acceptance today on the Baylor portal (plus a generous $88,000 scholarship). Good luck to everyone!
My son applied Regular Decision on Nov 21 2018 this was 71 days ago. He’s dying waiting. He’s been accepted by 4 others and won’t make a decision till Baylor does. The wait is getting ridiculous. Does it really take until April 10th? I mean that leaves no time for financial aid, housing etc by May 1st deadline. Come On Baylor! Hurry Up!
2/5 still waiting, 75 days now. Anyone else got any word on acceptance RD?
My child submitted in late December. Still waiting also.

First Year
Regular Decision
Fall 2019
Decision Received: January 30th (Accepted)
I believe applications are chosen randomly to be decided upon. I did attend the exclusive interview and complete the optional supplements, but who knows. Your decision will be emailed to you directly by the university, if you got accepted or not, the email should give up a pretty straight forward idea. Best of luck everyone!
Accepted today Computer Science
Congrats @vikicurry!
@TXdad1425 thank you!
when is the notification date for RD, i was deferred EA
portal down?
I sent an email to Baylor admissions and they said we will know the decision by 04/10
