Class of 2024 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

scratch that - it says Musical Theatre!

I was supposed to take my senior daughter to University of Texas tomorrow. She called this morning and they are not doing tours. Technically, they are open, but their spring break is next week and they extended that a week and then they are trying to do as much as possible via online courses.

@DramaLove2020 - yep, Coastal doesn’t have a BFA-TA program. Just the BA

Woohoo @DramaLove2020 !!!

@StanfordAI2019
I emailed and she confirmed back

Wonderful to hear back from you! Yes, you have been accepted into the BFA Theatre Arts - Musical Theatre degree program.

I think it is all Theatre Arts - it is either BFA or a BA…

congrats @DramaLove2020 ours was a NO ( well a redirect to BA theater arts as Dramalove noted), but its ok she didnt really " feel it" not sure if that was bc it was the end of a LOOOONG audition road since October, but we are thankful to have 3 yesses & 4 amazing waitlists. ( BFA & BM)…3 left to hear from on our end Webster &, Muhlenberg Wright state…Congrats to those who got a YES from Coastal its a great program

Updated Point Park and Coastal Carolina

@DramaLove2020 Congrats. Great news.

Syracuse has started sending out acceptances – 3/12.

FYI, We just received this correspondence from one my D’s options…

The impact of COVID-19 has put ************ in the situation of needing to take unprecedented steps to balance our educational mission with the duty to protect the health and well-being of our entire community. While there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 at any of our ******* locations or in , we feel that our best chance at limiting the spread of this virus is to implement new policies based on social distancing strategies that health experts recommend.
Effective immediately, all campus tours and information sessions are canceled until further notice. While we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause to those who have previously scheduled visits, our primary focus is the health and safety of our campus community as well as of potential visitors to campus.
Additionally, we will not be hosting any on-campus admitted or waitlisted student programming during April. While we’ve traditionally hosted daily visits and overnight events including Celebration of Diversity and
Overnight, these events have been canceled out of an abundance of caution. However, we’re looking forward to engaging with our future ****** virtually throughout the month of April.
If you’re looking for ways to connect with us, we’d encourage you to check out a virtual version of the Office of Admission Information Session, which will provide more information about our colleges and programs, campus community, the city of , and our admission and financial aid processes. You can experience without ever leaving home. Additionally, you can follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to stay up-to-date with the Office of Admission.

Argh!!! I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue. (movie reference)

My D just got into MT Syracuse!!! Yay!!! Ocu Syracuse! Thoughts??? So excited!!!

My daughter as well just got into MT Syracuse! We are thrilled. A welcome surprise after quite a number of rejections. It’s a great program.

Hey all. Long time follower but first time posting! I prescreened for Coastal Carolinas MT BFA and was asked to audition for their Acting BFA instead. Have been anxiously awaiting a response since my audition day:) I know this is an MT blog, but I cant seem to find information regarding their Acting acceptances/denials/WL on CC. Any ideas? I have been refreshing email all day today and haven’t received anything. Will coastal send notification if ‘no’? Heard anything from Acting BFA auditionees?

@Jasklo

My mama no raise no dummies. I dug yo’ rap!

@DramaLove2020 Coastal changed their BFA “degree name” to A BFA in “Theatre Arts” a few years ago, so that is what the diploma would say, but they are still different programs with a BFA (in Musical Theatre) and a BFA (in Acting). And then they have BA in Theatre Arts. Glad you reached out so you didn’t stress out. :slight_smile: Congrats!!

@cammiebp Since dramalove2020 received a letter acceptance, they may have changed the way they contact this year. In the past it has always been an emailed yes. So keep an eye out for your mail. Coastal does usually contact you no matter what the result.

Congrats on Syracuse all!!!

Wondering the same, D is waitlisted too, not priority.

@Beehive2020 @alisa when were their auditions if you don’t mind my asking?

Chicago for us.
