Class of 2024 - University of Connecticut

I think everyone has it. I’m from Farmington valley area so pretty much everyone applies to uconn and everyone I’ve asked has it. But for my school if you’re not accepted to Storrs you’re pretty much always accepted to Hartford campus so it might count that too. I don’t really know lol

@bbb4856 Everyone from my school experiences the same thing (I’m from Tolland county). Nobody I know is a weak applicant, they all seem like potentials for at least Hartford/stamford/Avery point, which doesn’t help this guessing game very much.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could press fast forward to March 1st and figure out what this means? Lol

From what I can tell the huskyct.edu site is for students so I think it’s possible that those of us (or our kids) that have access to it have been accepted (campus unknown). It seems odd they would assign a student ID if the applicant wasn’t accepted.

My son is currently a junior at the Storrs campus and I texted him to ask about it. He said it’s the site they they use to submit work online for classes. I can see what everyone else sees but it also lists my daughter’s history because she took pre-college classes over the summer and info on that is there.

Counting down the days!!!

i’m also able to access the huskynet page … in state but not taking any ece courses for uconn credit. hoping it’s a good sign!

I am OOS from NY and my HuskyCT works and it shows Math Placement, Chemistry Placement and Leadership Placement

I posted the question on Reddit and a HUSKYCT administrator said every applicant is put into this system.

Hopefully we’ll all know by the end of next week!

Anyone else having a “check application status” issue? Many people from my school including myself are experiencing this. After logging into the student center, I click check application status and it says my net id is not authorized. I had to contact tech help and admissions so I can see the actual status of my application.

@bbb4856 Same thing here. Also saw that it’s “Blocked” on Safari, only says that message on Google Chrome.

Also- something to monitor in the coming days… if you’re not an ECE student it’s worth noting that if you put your NetID in phonebook.uconn.edu and you’re listed as a student that’s a very good thing! Again, only for people not registered for ECE classes. I’ve been seeing this in previous year’s forums.

Also Student Admin will be down March 20-21… not that it matters much since its three weeks after decisions but it was just something new that popped up when I logged in!

I wonder if the server is down or something nation wide. I’m going to call.

server works for me, no new updates to my application status

Interesting. Thanks!

I just called. I guess I was checking the old portal lol. The new portal is linked on their website.

Every time I try to check admission status I get a pop-up block message. How do I get around this? I have been looking at the applicant portal all this time and though it says when we sent in the application, and that the transcript and SATs were received, there is no where that say the application is complete. I did not even know about this other portal to check admission status. Is anyone else having this problem?

bbb4856 what is the new portal. I finally got past the pop up blocker and it is now saying the the net id is not authorized.

bbb4856 sorry to blow up this feed…LOL! I just called IT who then sent me to admissions. The original portal I had been looking at IS the new portal they are using and the student center one is the old one. On the original portal we looked at it only shows the items that are received which are necessary. Everything else sent in (recommendations, mid-year grades, etc) will not show up as received. She confirmed she has everything and I feel 100% better. Now to wait for March 1!!

No prob I was in the same boat and was freaking out lol. I guess they changed their portal this year and I was looking at older posts.
For anyone who wants a link to make sure they have the right one it’s
https://admissions.uconn.edu/check-status
They said they don’t use the student center anymore and the decisions will come through the portal that I sent above.
