Class of 2025 Acceptances

My son was accepted to Marquette class of 2025. Interested to see who else has been accepted. Have you been able to visit? We are OOS so we are hoping to make a trip in the spring.

Hi, My son was accepted too. Also OOS, hoping to make a trip in the Spring if he gets an indication the he’s accepted for the BS/DPT Program. Not sure is he is based on the acceptance letter for admission. We have not been to Marquette…yet.
The virtual material on BS/DPT was very good so this encouraged my son to apply.

My son recieved his acceptance and merit award last week. Hope we can visit in the spring.

My D was accepted into the nursing program. We were able to visit last summer and had a really nice visit. Probably one of the best campus tours we had in all honesty. We live in IL, not too far from Milwaukee. ETA - she just found out this morning via email that she was accepted into the core honors program as well!

My DD was accepted and received the Pere Marquette Award. Is any of your children applying for the Jesuit 1/2 tuition scholarship which takes the place of the Pere one?

Congrats! My daughter also received the Pere Marquette but she isn’t eligible for the Jesuit award. She goes to Catholic school but it’s not Jesuit. Her best friend is applying for it, though. We had an official tour today. Weather wasn’t great and most students had vacated campus already, but the student guide was excellent and we were able to go inside some dorms, library and other buildings.

My son was accepted also. We got lucky and visited in February last year, just weeks before COVID hit. He LOVED the campus. It is sort-of self-contained yet right in the city. Which is one thing he loved, because you felt like you were actually on a college campus, not a bunch of buildings in the middle of a city. Marquette has some fantastic videos up on YouTube that showcase the campus, so I would recommend taking a look at those.

He also really liked the people he met, both professors and students. Everyone was super welcoming and personable. It is his top choice for school right now- but he will have to wait until final financials come in. Even with receiving their highest merit award, there is about a 15K/year hurdle that needs to be lowered somehow.

My son goes to a Jesuit high school and we’ve considered it, but his Pere award is higher than 1/2 of the tuition so I was going to email the AO and ask about how that Jesuit award would affect his Pere award.

Good luck, hopefully he’ll get more scholarships

Was just accepted into Marquette’s school of nursing! My stats are 3.5 GPA and 1280 SAT

Does anyone know what the max Pere Marquette award is? Road2College comparison tool shows awards ranging from 18-25K, wondering if 25K is the max this year?

25k is what I was told

We were able to go to an Accepted Student day and Marquette really impressed. They put together a solid Admissions info session, had a Soph tour guide one-on-one with my family that was very helpful and informed. Finally, the faculty of the Arts and Science program spoke to the families and they backed up the 18th in undergrad teaching ranking by US News, impressive and engaging group. Lots of positives on a sunny 63 degree March day, saw no traces of cold or snow.
Approached by 3 panhandlers while in Milwaukee and on Marquette’s Wisconsin Ave, that being the only drawback.
