Class of 2025 Admissions Decisions ONLY - University of Delaware

My son got 10k (5k per semester). Considering there is also a winter session which would cost 5k+ (no estimate for room and board), this doesn’t get him close to what other schools have offered. We were definitely disappointed in the offer. Good luck!

Has anyone heard back any deferrals, waitlists or rejections? Wondering if they are just releasing acceptances first

Congrats to you! My daughter was accepted on 12/25 by portal and received an envelope in the mail today dated 12/23 but no mention of merit. Just a congratulations letter of acceptance, brochure and flag. Was your merit sent in this package? Wondering if she’s out of luck with merit.

My son was accepted on Dec 11. Today something new showed up on his portal. It says “decision released January 8 2021.” Does anyone else see that? Hoping it’s an honors college acceptance coming tomorrow!

I believe it is an honor college acceptance. I’ve seen the same earlier in this thread.

That’s what happened with my daughter too (with a date in the future) and on that date she was accepted to honors program.

Thanks! Hoping for an honors acceptance. Can anyone speak to

  1. pros and cons of HC and
  2. any additional merit that may accompany an HC acceptance?

Thank you!

My Dd19 is in honors, I know she was in a very nice dorm freshman year, and gets to register earlier for classes. Dd21 also got into honors. All of my daughter’s friends are in honors, and she found her tribe quickly (serious students who still like a good time - lol).

Mine also was accepted Dec 11th and afterwards applied to honors college. she does NOT have that in her portal. Guess she didn’t get in.

I believe Honors decisions are rolling so don’t give up hope.

Merit is on the portal. Your daughter should log in.
it’s the financial button

Well then I guess she didn’t get anything.
No mention of it there. :frowning:

i was accepted on 11/25 and didn’t receive my merit offer until 12/18, you will most likely get it in a few days/ weeks

It might not be up yet - they have been doing them in batches. I would call the financial aid office

My son was just accepted into honors college. No email, just in the portal. He was accepted to UD on Dec 11, got merit award about 2 weeks later, and now HC. Don’t give up hope… these are all rolling. Good luck to all!

My DD was accepted on Nov 20th and hasn’t heard yet from HC either. I would assume that’s partially because her test scores are on the lower side. If she gets in, I will assume it will be very close to deadline. They are going to take the strongest kids first. I don’t think there is any reason to give up hope yet.

Merit was listed on the financial button
4 weeks after my daughter received her admission decision.

Does UD offers in-state tuition for OOS students like some other schools do? What is their largest merit award? I see the awards listed on the website but I have also seen people post here who got more than the maximum listed. Thanks!
