Class of 2025 Nepal

One suggestion. Lets not keep unis that are not worth keeping here. Not to be very rude but have you even seen Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville ko ranking. Its pretty obvious ki even an avg stat would get a good scholarship. Its ranked #298-#389. not even a proper ranking. dont make the list long just for the sake of adding colleges. Congrats to whoever got that, but lets not keep any random college. Max bhaye #125 rank samma ko rakham

Every year 8000+ students apply to US from Nepal just for undergrad and half of them get scholarships .In 2018 UT tyler gave full ride to almost 80+ students (but cancelled the schola. So it’s not worth mentioning every colleges and every student.I think we should only go for some competitive schools where you get a very good financial aid.
Just sharing my opinion.
Do whatever u want.
Peace

I really do not agree with it. This is a forum for all the Class of 2025 Nepal not the forum for T20, T50, or T100 Class of 2025 Nepal. So if you judge by the numbers there are 23 Nepali accepted to NYUAD Class of 2025 with full-ride so according to your case that is also inferior to be listed. Getting in full-ride or even full tuition is a great achievement especially in times where colleges have adopted SAT-optional policies. And guess what this will be seen by the future classes of 26, 27, 28, and others. If we only go to list high tier colleges, how will they know the low-tier colleges that provides scholarship as everyone doesn’t have a spot at ivies and T20s.

Why not? Getting a full ride is a great achievement and near impossible for international students in US colleges. Putting it up on the list will show future applicants where Nepali students tend to get admission and scholarship from and also this is a list for the entire Nepal class of 2025 as stated by the comment above mine. Yes, if you get into a low-tier college but don’t get a sufficient scholarship then it might not worth being put up on the list, but since he he/she has been awarded a full-ride then it more than deserved to be on the list. Have a good day.

With the increasing possibilities of colleges taking the least number of Nepali students in history, what is your take on this unprecedented situation? To a senior in high school, the idea of a gap year might not be the worst thing possible. However, there are many like me who are currently in a gap year. You guys willing to risk another year for a good college or will you be settling for a mediocre college? Nothing is for given this year. Even the safeties aren’t feasible.

The number of students applying will skyrocket. Don’t you think so? The diversity card becomes useless then.

btw, nepal bata kasaile paayo ta drexel ko global scholars scholarship?

No idea about the scholarship. Tei 2 barsa gap year bare kati jana le sochirako chan bhanera thapauna man thiyo. Yo barsa ta aba ramapo haru le ni aid dina sakena teibhayera stall bhayera basne manche haru ko number jhan badcha ki jasto lagyo malai.

Maile pani ramapo ma apply gareko ho around november tirai(didnt wanted to be the victim of first come fist serve). Scholarship nai paiena but they selected me for honors college ko interview which was a lil weird lol.

Maile chai housing aid paye teti ho aru kei ni paiyena. Aba RD ma ni not confident about any of the colleges. Jata tatai record number of applicants cha.

Ma ra mero sathi haru le ta tetti pani payenau. Was really disappointed tbh.

When I was researching about this scholarship. I had a hard time finding if international students or even Nepali students were selected in past years. Although ranking is not everything, the scholarship was relatively competitive(only 20 people/year get it including domestic+intl), so had put it in the list for future COs to let them know someone from Nepal had got it in past years.
