D has also committed to MSM, VP Soprano. Lots of twists and turns between Musical Theater and Classical Voice. Ultimately, this is the program that gave her the most flexibility and she loved the feel of the neighborhood and campus.

Welp, we got back from one more visit to Columbus State and he found out the same day that Blair/Vanderbilt is offering him a spot off the waitlist! I think one more option might make this kid’s head explode, but very happy for him nonetheless

Congrats! What are his thoughts?

Unclear. He has a friend over tonight, so I told him not to worry about it before tomorrow. We haven’t seen FA yet, either. At least it’s still April so he still has until May 1.

We got preliminary FA from Vanderbilt, and it’s AMAZING. He definitely wouldn’t need to take loans, and it would be totally comfortable for us. I feel like this makes it a no brainer, but he’s having a very hard time letting go of his other choices. He’s hoping to talk it over with his wind symphony director and his private teacher in the next couple of days.

Fantastic!!! Yes, letting go was hard here too. But now that the decision has been made, there’s been no looking back.

Good luck!

Keeping fingers crossed that he sees the benefits of graduating without loans and makes the wise choice

Is there an admitted students day to seal the deal? Congratulations! What a great news!

I think he’s missed all the admitted student days already; there was an online meet and greet sort of thing tonight, so he did that.

Congratulations! That amazing Opportunity Vanderbilt is why my dd applied ED to Blair. She knew if she got in, there was no other school that would beat the no loan aid. Good luck to your son on his decision!

S22 committed to Curtis today, after visiting the school and taking an in-person lesson with the professor this morning. Glad to have a decision so close to the deadline!
