It was finally added to the portal last night. We received another email that the financial aid was updated.
Yes, my OOS son received USF Green & Gold Presidential $11K per year. Not sure if this is common for most admits??
It is an auto merit award based on recalculated GPA and test scores. If a student hits that threshold then it is automatic.
I am taking my DD for a tour next month and wondering if anyone has recommendations on places to stay near campus.
Embassy Suites is where we stayed.
Its a little old needs some updating, nice just a little dated, still recommend,

Has anyone heard if they have got into the honors program?
We were initially very high on USF but have soured a lot since.
Where to begin, the scholarship/aid package did not include an auto merit award. The scholarship office does not pick up the phone it seems. We finally got an email response stating they have verified my sonās eligibility and an updated award will be sent in March.
In the meantime, housing selection is happening and based on what I hear, rooms go fast. We had the option of putting a deposit down but why should we? Ditto open houses/admitted studentās days. They are filling up too.
No notification of honors either, which is odd because my son should be auto admit.
I am sure it is a wonderful school but they need to step up their admin game. There are other state schools with 40K++ students that do a far better job!
Update: My son got a letter in the mail yesterday that included the scholarship and an email offering him a spot in the Honors College.
We tried to sign up for the admitted studentās day and it is full. Will they add more dates? Anyone know?
You can request through dean as two years ago we did for my daughter. Also they are going to add some more dates too later on, but early is better so your son get more choice to select the classes.
Iāve had nothing but bad experienced with any administrative office at USF. Thatās admissions, honors, financial aid - you name it. They donāt answer the phone, donāt reply to email, and when you do get them on the phone they sound bothered. Itās bizarre. Like you said, Iām sure USF is a good school, but every contact with them sends me a message ā āGO AWAYā
Why is it SO impossible to get a hold of admissions? As a foreign student my D got a notation on portal that her application was incomplete due to lack of English proficiency test. Her language of instruction is English as is official language of the country in which she has residency. Have tried multiple times to figure out how to get an exemption but none of the links work. Have emailed admissions but no response. Have called and left messages with no response. We are at our wits end.
I hear you! The staff does not seem to have it together or they are really short on people. Iād try calling later in the afternoon between 2-3 pm EST. Also, some admins are on the USF parents Facebook page. You might want to ping through there for help.
