Have you visited the campus?: Yes, but not all academic buildings in its entirety.
Major: Either Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Applying to the Honors College?: No
Career goal(s): Graduate and work as a Computer Programmer, Business Analyst, Mobile/PC/Console Application Developer, System Security Developer/Manager, Business System Manager/Developer, or a Videogame Developer. I would really just like to make a living doing what I love.
Any else you’d like to mention: Alabama is the first and only college that I have applied to. It’s my dream college and I would be a legacy student if I attend and graduate. I hope to see all future enrollees and future graduates of the class of '21 there!
Any else you’d like to mention: The admin office was very helpful with some snafus with the app process (guidance not sending current year classes, etc.)
Major: Management Information Systems and Accounting Double Major (considering Comp. Sci or Mechanical as well)
Applying to the Honors College?: Yes, already accepted. Applied for Computer Based Honors College as well.
Career goal(s): IT Auditor, Software Engineer, Self-employed/owning own business
Any else you’d like to mention: Presidential Scholarship, possible fraternity rush, sit for CPA examinations, and want to pursue my MBA after I am done with my undergraduate degrees. I also had complications with getting accepted (as an explanation to why it took me 6 weeks to be accepted). It was no big deal, just interfered with my chances of sending my housing app in on October 4th when it opened.
Career goal(s): Become a Software Engineer at one of the top tech companies. Have strongly considered moving abroad after college, although it doesn’t really gel with my other goal(s).
Any else you’d like to mention: I really only applied to Alabama as a safety school, but the more I read about it, the more I am considering actually attending, and I’ve been offered an excellent scholarship which of course helps. Plan on visiting sometime in the near future as well!
Date Applied: 9/26/16 (all materials got there 10/4/16)
Date Accepted: 10/5/16
Have you visited the campus?: No but would really like to
Major: Chemistry (at the moment)
Applying to the Honors College?: No
Career goal(s): dentist (at the moment)
Any else you’d like to mention: 2017 National Merit Semifinalist (but did not know that at the time of application or decision); really impressed with the decision time
I’m an international applicant and I was accepted about 2 weeks ago. My stats are in line for the Full Tuition scholarship but I haven’t heard from the university about it yet. What do I do?
@pcwizkid143 the scholarship letters come about 2 or 3 weeks later. Probably three since you’re international. I feel you have the stats, you go at the scholarship.
