Class Opened Up More Seats, But No Waitlist Movement

<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>So I'm waitlist 27 in a class of 400. However, when I was first in the class, there was only 390 seats... it seems to me that they (whoever they are :P ) opened up 10 more seats, but there hasn't been a corresponding movement in the waitlist. </p>

<p>Anyone have any idea what could account for this?</p>

<p>I'm semi-freaking out about this because I really, really, really want to get into this class, and hate the uncertainty of being on the waitlist (probably like everyone else -.-)</p>

<p>OT: The registrar opens up seats all the time. Many times they just want to see how many people enroll in the class and decide to either open up more seats, or more discussion sections. You probably should’ve moved up on the waitlist, or maybe wait a bit for it to happen. You best bet is to contact the department about whether they’ll open up more seats or not.</p>
