Class Placement

WOWM has been incredibly helpful, but I still have some questions about placement. My daughter took calculus 1 & 2 as dual credit classes at her high school, took stats & calc 3 at the local university, and is currently taking differential equations at the local university. I would like to know how credit and placement will be determined for these classes. I've read about AP credit, and I believe about CC transfer credit, but nothing about transferring university credit for incoming freshmen. BTW - she's a BME major. Thank you.

I sent you a PM with the answer to your question!

I was worried about her having time for placement during the short orientation window. I will have her contact the math department to make sure that all necessary records are in their hands, well in advance of orientation.

There is plenty of ‘down time’ is included in the freshman orientation program. In fact, several blocks of time are specifically set aside for new students to meet with various advisors.

No worries. Tell her to attend the class she thinks she should or will eventually be placed into. That way if it takes longer, she will still be caught up on material. She can attend class “unofficially” the prof won’t kick her out. May not even notice depending on size of class.

Just have ur daughter say they are in the process of registering her into that class if the prof. ask.
