@moscott do you think scores will hold more significance in the future? I think colleges still prioritize it most nowadays because it shows dedication over 4 years while a test is just 4 hours. Thoughts?
It’s extremely difficult to predict how colleges will make determinations in the future. AP scores seem to help weed through A’s as well. Just my opinion(and most have gone away from weighted gpa) but a weighted gpa and class rank “could” be more of an indicator for a student vs peer for each school. Now I wouldn’t put all into that since many kids will certainly hunt AP classes to raise the weighted gpa but that is easy enough to delineate.
I still think the perception that “all Asians” get straight A’s and do math competitions is crazy.
