Class Rank Question

<p>I have a really quick question. Is class rank in high school usually calculated using weighted or unweighted GPAs? I would guess weighted, and I know that each school differs, but do the majority of schools rank based on weighted or un-weighted grades? Thanks!!!</p>

<p>most schools use weighted, i believe.</p>

<p>unweighted, in my opinion, only helps those taking easy classes & punishes those in hard classes.</p>

<p>there are some schools that do rank by unweighted tho; some do both</p>
