How does UT look at students with no class rank do they estimate based on test scores or gpa or something else?
Also does that hurt my chances since my school does not rank?

They’ll evaluate your classroom performance and will compare you to other applicants from your school. It won’t hurt your chances.

What if noone applies from my school? Cause most likely noone will.

“For students from non‐ranking schools, a rank is estimated using the student’s GPA and grade distributions provided by the schools.”

If you are from Texas, your school will know what to provide. If not, double-check with your counselor to make sure this information is provided in addition to your personal transcript:

■Non-ranking schools: If your high school does not rank class members, include with your transcript a statement from your school about its policy, a copy of your school’s profile, and a GPA or grade distribution.
