<p>Hey guys, I’m planning on applying ED to Wharton. My counselor said that there is some sort of form he can fill out to explain why my class rank is so low? I used to be 7 out of 889 but I took Correspondence Computer Science (didn’t know it wasn’t Honors) and it really messed my GPA up. Anyone know about this optional form? It’d be a huge help, Thanks!</p>

<p>And if the reason for your "low" rank is because of a bad grade in a course, I really don't see how you can excuse that.</p>
<p>Well, It went to 34 (GAHHHH) I know, but I'm still a junior and it's pullable. But still, my counselor misinformed me and it was a non honors class. So technically I should still be 7, but thtat class really screwed me up.</p>

<p>I do believe that usually this would be addressed on the counselor report or the school profile........by reading both the adcoms can asses the quality of your school and the counselor can explain your problem.</p>

<p>Write a good essay...your ECs seem a little weak/narrow, but your stats are great. Get an awesome SAT score (with an especially good math section) and some good recs and you'll be giving yourself the best shot possible. Hopefully your GC will be generous when noting your rank (my GC calculated my rank the most beneficial way for me).</p>

<p>I do not agree at all nor is that true...10 or 15 out of 889 is like top 1.7% or higher percent...i was 13 out of 474...top 3.7%..and i got in..rank isnt everything...and 34/889 is like top 3.8%...not the end of the world...just strengthen and personalize the rest of your app as much as you can</p>
