<p>but to answer your question (at least this is what my GC told me), they use your most recent class rank. but they do use your junior year rank to see your consistency, etc.</p>

<p>Unweighted is probably more useful. Weighted, however, determines your class rank.</p>

<p>well, my school tells the college what percentile we're in... since there are <200 kids in the grade, it's easy for admissions to figure out at least what our ranks are. say top 5% (which is what i think/hope i am), then they'll know im at least 10/200.</p>

<p>Don't worry. I was barely above 50% for my school and got into Penn. 3.50 GPA.</p>
<p>i goto a public school...unweighted im not even in the top 15%....in at huntsman!!</p>

canadia - my everything else (other than grades) was pretty good....i guess my essays were alright - they werent AMAZING or anything</p>
