When colleges refer to class rank, are they referring to weighted rank or unweighted rank? My weighted is 10% higher (top 6%) than my unweighted...im just wondering.

usually, it's whatever ur school prints out on the transcript

for eg. my school shows my rank according to weighted GPA

if your transcript shows both, then i guess it's both :/

both...blast it.

really? doesnt your GC want you to succeed lol....

well our school has our counselors put letters in our apps explaining our class rankings and how our school is diverse in classes and really competitive (some a holes take no APs and achieve a 4.0 and such) so i think that, depending on the school, they suggest that the school looks at weighted or non-weighted info

Lolok, weighted GPA is more important because it takes into consideration the strength of your class selection. I would not worry about it.

alright...so would colleges consider me top 6% or top 16%?

top 6%

10 characters

wooohoooo that made my day!
