So up until the end of my junior year (the class ranking I turned in for apps),
My Class ranking was 1/475
The thing is, our school is weird and has like 30 Valedictorians.
All the valectorian's class rankings are 1 but then if there are 30 Valedictorians, the Saludictorian automatically has a class ranking of a 31.

Stupid, I know

So for my mid year report, now my ranking is a 37/475 because I made B's. It just looks SO bad just because we have so many valedictorians.

I dont really know what I should do because I dont want colleges to think that I totaally slacked off because I didnt. I got a B in Calc AP and AP Economics.

The thing is , I dont think my GPA changed much

I am sure colleges would know about grade inflation in most schools. If not, you will need to tell the colleges about the situation. I think the best ideal method would be asking you counselor to explain your school’s ranking situation.

As long as your counselor knows you at least a bit, this would work well.

Technically, the 31st guy wouldn’t be salutatorian, no? In fact, you guys don’t even have a sal. Just some noob ranked 31st. Oh well, better than some noob ranked 37th. Just kidding. You’ll be fine.
