Class Ranking

I know that some colleges only look at 10-11/12 years in the admission process, but what about class rank? Do those colleges only look at 10-11 rank or 9-11 rank as well?

I have tried to look this information up, but it never specifies which class ranking it is..

Thanks(:

9 would obviously be included.

They look at the rank your school gives them and put it into context.

what i was trying to ask was "If that college doesn't even look at 9th grade grades for admission process purposes, which ranking would that college look at-the 9-12 rank or 10-12 rank?"

And they gave you the answer.

so they just look at whichever class rank the school provides?
Our school provides both actually, meaning the colleges would look at both?

They look at the rank provided by you school, which does factor in 9th grade grades. they do not re-calculate rank (and they couldn't, even if they wanted to).

If your school provides several different ways of ranking, they will look at all of them.

Rank is used by schools to see how you did relative to others you went to school with.

If you had poor grades in 9th grade, it will show up with your rank and can still hurt you in the admission process, even if the school doesn't count 9th grade grades.

i am a senior in high school, i transfer to the school in my junior year. Now i’m rank in the top 26% of the class because my former school do not have weighted scores for honors and AP classes. i know dis is going to affect my coll application. Do anyone av idea of wat i shud do?
