So, I'm about to be honorably discharged and I'm planning on apply for MT. Sac and Pasedena CC. I know PCC offers veterans priority for class registration but does anyone know about MT. Sac? Is there an actual California state law that states veterans have registration priority?

^There sure is - Combat to College Act of 2012:
[Bill Text - AB-2133 Veterans: priority registration.](<a href=“Bill Text -”>Bill Text - AB-2133 Veterans: priority registration.)

Every CCC and CSU is required to allow priority registration for veterans that have separated within the last 15 years with an Honorable or OTH. The UC system is “requested” to allow such priority, but is currently not required. The veteran is entitled to 4 academic years worth of priority registration benefit (can’t have it your whole life or anything).

Even though this was officially made into legislative action recently, most CCCs and CSUs honored the priority registration for veterans anyway, along with many other public schools in other states since their VA educational benefits strongly rely on getting the classes they need when they need them to be considered effective use of the government funds.

The only students that should have a higher priority registration in CA are disabled students. Luckily, this allows budget and class cuts not to affect veterans as much as other student demographics (especially in CA).

thank you for that link. now i can argue the point i WILL have priority class registration >=]
