Class Registration Thread (links to everything!)

Where can I find out what my course reccommendations are, based on the myacademic info that we filled out in july?

What college are you in, kendallh?

edit: 6th.

Uh, look on http://newstudent.ucsd.edu

I'm in 6th college. How'd u know that?

Damn, I found the e-advising, but it is closed for the weekend. Hella sucks cuz I have to work during the week and won't have much time before the actual enrollment appt. on the 24th.

Thanks so much Slorg! This helps so much!

This thread should be stickied... How does one do that?

Keep bumping? XD

I've been checking on classes, and it seems like they have not added seats to some classes yet. Also, the MAE9 (C++ programming) class doesn't even have a lab time yet. Does anyone know if this will be fixed by tomorrow?

For MAE9, "lab times" are not official, i.e. you are not obligated to go to them. They will probably be announced the first day of class.

You can go back and edit the registration... right?

yes (10 char)

Can you sign up for a class once school starts? Could you switch into a class that's less full the first or second week of school? Or is it all done this week?

You can add classes through the second week of class.

^
This is true, but please try not to. You'd be amazed at how much can be covered in two weeks in some classes; you'll be very behind.

^
I agree. I would only risk missing one or two days of class...

hmm… i wonder if this thread is stickied; the first post was quite helpful for me.

Thank you for the kind words. This thread is not stickied though.

Couldn’t you tell if this thread was stickied by virtue of whether or not it appeared as stickied on the main UCSD forum?

BUMP! this should answer a lot of questions freshies!!

Bumping for 2010
