I was looking at the Elon 2013 facebook group this evening and someone had posted a link to class registration, saying that we can sign up for classes "right now." Another said that he had called admissions asking after the same issue and was told that we're actually NOT able to sign up for classes yet.

I'm confused! I'll probably call Elon later in the week regarding this, but I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it? I know that the Elon 101 classes are first come, first serve in terms of the "cooler" ones (with a cap at 15 students, I believe) so I'm pretty anxious.

... also, wellmy parents want me to get this done as soon as possible and with the stress of AP exams coming up, it'd be kind of nice to clarify whether I should start worrying about this or not. :P

If you have the time you should do it. I went to march orientation and that’s when/where we learned to do it. The guy who said he was told we couldn’t got misinformation. You CAN sign up.

My recollection is that the first step is a pre-registration where you list a number of classes you are interested in. The actual registration comes much closer to the start of school. At least that is what I remember of it when my kid did it!

Thanks so much for your replies! I’ll get on it as soon as I can, then. I only wish I could be at orientation next week… I guess I’ll have to make do with YouTube videos and photos online to get a sense of the campus before moving in.

Current students are registering right now (my son did his yesterday). If I recall, as a freshman they sent him a notice telling him when he could register, and he did so online the summer before school started.
