<p>I received a C in Calc this fall from my community college, and I'm wondering if retaking the course (which would be a guaranteed A) would be more beneficial to me when it comes time to transfer.</p>

<p>My main concern is that the admissions office wherever I apply would see the C and basically shrug off the better grade as a result of the retake, and not give it due consideration.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated here.</p>

<p>It’s likely they will see both grades, but you’ll have to check up on that and ask. (If this is indeed the case, it is likely the C will hurt you a little, but combined with the A is a net grade of a B perhaps.)</p>
