Class Review

Hello,

I am currently going to 9th grade next year and was wondering if someone could help me with my class selections for next year. Well, I have always wanted to attend the prestigious college that Stanford is and I know that I have to start in ninth grade if I ever want to get there. Cutting to the chase, I am currently in for next year (9th grade) honors math and honors social studies. I just missed getting into honors english, should I try to get into honors english in 10th grade? I do (and will continue to do) extra curricular activities and am in Key Club and DECA (business-marketing club). If I do pretty well on my SATs and ACT, do you think I have a chance with the current classes I am taking?

Thanks!,

Take the hardest classes available to you, get top grades, be very active in ECs you really enjoy, and come back to talk about your chances in 3 years.

Although it is good to be thinking about college at your age, striving to earn high grades, getting involved in ECs you really love, etc., it is way too young to start worrying about getting into college! Those classes sound fine. The best thing you can do is find ECs that you really truly love and stay off of this forum until at least the beginning of your junior year. College Confidential will only make you more stressed out!
