Class rings. Nearly every school advertises it to all their students and most are completely eager to buy them. So what are your opinions guys?

Love it/hate it
Dislike Jostens (Is there a school out there that doesn't do Jostens?)
Rather get one from an actual jewelry store
Will wait until college
Waste of money
Nice momento

^
This seem to be the most common statements.

Waste of money and completely pointless.
Most of my friends that bought one for ~$400 have never worn it more than ~3 times.

waste of money.
i can buy a pair of socks from saks fifth avenue with the amount for a class ring.

LOL. There’s a lot of people that buy them sophomore year then drop out. I really don’t care what people do with their money but it looks like it’s best to buy them during junior/senior year.

well personally, my high school experience wasn’t amazing enough to be emulated onto a $400 ring :s

My grandpa gave me his class ring from 1950, so that’s what I wear. I find them too expensive and pretty ugly, at least at our school. And we use Herf Jones. Or is it Herff Jones… Either way, not Jostens, though we used them for the yearbook in middle school.

My parents told me, if you absolutely love your high school and you plan to show up to all the reunions and events, then get one. I chose not to because I found it a waste of money but I’ll for sure get a college one.

I don’t think we have class rings…Maybe we do :P

Either way, I hate my high school, so definitely don’t need a reminder of this hellhole ;)

My high school is a bit different. It is a Catholic school where EVERYONE gets a class/junior ring.
