So at my school we get our class rings in junior year. My school goes through Herff Jones but a lot of people have been telling me that Herff Jones rings are of poor quality. Now I'm thinking of going with Jostens. Has anyone gotten their class ring from Herff Jones? What do you think of the quality? Also what do you guys think about Jostens v. Herff Jones? Thanks!

I think you probably wont wear your ring. They are huge. I think most dudes just keep them in a box or maybe display it kind of like a trophy. The only guys i know that wear rings are older dudes who have to wear one cause they are married. But they are usually plain and dont have a huge stone in them. Most of the class rings have a huge stone which looks cool, but i wont wear mine when i get one.

I’ll probably wear mine because I’m a girl and the rings for girls are always a lot smaller. I saw one I liked in Jostens but didn’t know if there were other companies that had nicer rings and were better priced.

I don’t really think high school class rings are going to be that big of a deal unless you go to a really prestigious private school. I don’t really even know anybody who wears their college ring except people who went to Harvard or Princeton.

I got my ring from Herff Jones, and I love it. I’ve worn it everyday for over a year, and it’s held up pretty well.
My friend got hers from Jostens, and I personally thought it was pretty ugly. The shape was just bleh. :x

It’s really up to personal preference. We get the option of both companies in my school, and most people go with Herff Jones.

I LOVE my ring and I wear it all day, every day. I only take it off when I’m in the shower.

I’m not sure about most school rings, but ours is just a plain gold ring with a black top and the school emblem. Yours might be different? I don’t know. Everyone gets the same ring at my school. lol

But umm, I got mine junior year… so about six months ago now? 10k gold (because my mom insisted on gold) It’s held up pretty well. =)

That’s good to know. I wasn’t sure whether or not to get the ring from Herff Jones. I’m glad to know that they hold up well. I guess it’s really my parents’ choice on where we get it from considering they’re paying. At my school everyone’s ring is different because we get to choose how they are customized.
