Class schedule for civil engineering

I have heard that the average graduation time for almost every engineering major is about 5 yrs, so I was wondering what are some classes that I should take starting from the fall to speed up the pace?? And is there a program that offers master degree for engineering major in 5 yrs? Appreciate for the answers!!

Awesome, I’m in civil engineering too (second year). It is possible to graduate in four years. Since I took a lot of ap and community college courses and summer courses, I may end up graduating one less quarter. For civil engineering, there is the four plus one program that allows you to get a master’s in one year but not a lot of people are doing that and I heard that the thesis can take forever. I would recommend getting chemistry and Physics in. I egret not taking physics 141 Fall quarter because it is a prerequisite for a lot of courses. What does your course schedule look like?

well thx, Question0. My class schedule so far has Intro to civil engineering, COMS 102, healthy living, and American/California government. It’s just some really basic courses. I am stilling thinking about getting into the 4+1 program, I mean do people just get a job right after they finish their undergrads?? I just think that having a master would be easier and better to get an ideal job.

Oh nice. I took CE 111 and healthy living. It wasn’t that hard. Usually, I think people would get a job right after finishing their undergrad. Some choose to get a master’s degree if they are more into research or have a hard finding a job. You can use this and scroll to Civil Engineering to see how many people get a job as a CE major:
