Hello all, I got accepted into GWU. Unfortunately I have to support myself in order to go to school ( what I mean by this is through out my life, I worked full time and went school full time/ 9-12units). My question is, Does GWU offered an evening classes with start time 4:00 pm and up for undergrad? Please help me as I have to make my decision by tomorrow. Thank you for your help. I’m pretty desperate at this point!
Please call them and ask them to view their course schedules. I know there are some classes, because my dtr has a later class on her tentative schedule, but I don’t know how many are offered and whether they cross all disciplines. Will you be going into significant debt for this? I ask because (years and years ago), I also needed to pay for my full education, but realized that I could not give my studies the attention they deserved if I worked full time, so I want to a much lower tier college that gave me close to a full ride. If that is your case, I suggest you do the same…
@ premature_gray Hello, Thank you for your info. I received generous FA to total $13K of student loan as transfer student/Junior. I will definitely will give them a call to find out. do you think is it worth to go with this type of student loan? I received a full ride to go to state school in my hometown/San Diego (scholarship through my employer) only pay school admin fee here and there, but for State School (San Diego State University). I felt so torn to decide which way to go…
Persica, I really can’t answer that question for you. As a parent, I worry about students who come out with crushing debt, in amounts of $40k, $50k + That is a lot of debt to start life with, but depending on where you land employment upon graduating, it may not be the worst thing if you feel the education and opportunities you receive are that much more superior. $13k a year doesn’t seem horrible if your previous years have essentially been free, but again it is your decision. Hard one. I wish you the very best of luck.
