Class Schedules

I am wondering what everyone's class schedules are. I am struggling to contact an advisor, and have no idea what to register for.

Currently, I am on the waiting list for one class. :(

Include

Class Standing (Sophmore, Junior, etc.)
Major
Class Schedule (any waiting lists, etc.)

Thanks.

Journalism major, have poli 101, econ 101, phil 112, hist 140, and anth something plus jogging as an lfit. Trying to change jogging to something more fun for my lfit.

^ Don’t take jogging if you want a fun lfit. They actually make you run. The “easy” lfit that everyone loved was Walking, but they got rid of it :frowning: I’ve heard Outdoor Sports was a blast, though.

What kind of exercise does the exercise and conditioning lfit focus on? I really just want an opportunity to work out for my lfit. Is that a good choice?

A lot of them are focused on one sport. Take something like racquetball… its fun, easy, and you get a good work out.

I took exercising and conditioning, it was a lot of fun. We basically just did a different type of exercise each class. This ranged from circuits to ultimate frisbee to relay races to scavenger hunts. I had a really cool TA who worked hard to make it fun for us.

Sounds good! Thanks!

How’s swimming for lifetime fitness?

I think the problem most people have with swimming is that depending on what time of day your class is, you could be wet and gross for the rest of the day and you have to figure out when to shower, etc. If you are the least bit fussy about that sort of thing (lord knows I am), then I would probably pick something else. In general, your TA will determine how fun/easy/hard your LFIT class is… I had a very fun Walking TA, ha ha!

I feel like I’m the only premed student not taking Bio or chem this semester. Oh well :P

Is anyone else really excited / still trying to get into the ENG 69 lecture about Entrepreneurial Writing on the Web? It was full during my CTOPS sesh, but I’ll try to get into it.

Hey,

Currently, my plans are psychology major with a mathematics minor.

As most of you know, UNC, lists courses according to such:

<100 freshman seminars
100 freshman courses
200 second level undergraduate courses
300 second level undergraduate courses
400 for undergraduates, with some graduate students
500 for advanced undergraduates and graduate students
600 for graduate students & advanced undergraduates
700 graduate students only

I am taking: (first semester junior year)

Psychology 220 - Biopsychology
Psychology 245 - Abnormal
Math 233 - Multivariable Calculus I (Calculus III)

Hoping to add:
Biology 450 - Intro to Neurobiology
Math 381 - Discrete Mathematics

one (1) of the following: Psychology 210 (stats class for psychology) / Psychology 260 (social psychology) / Psychology 230 (cognitive psychology) / Philosophy 273 (social justice)

how does this look for a first semester junior? Considering I only came in as a transfer with psychology 101? I feel like I should have more 300+ level courses.

I think you’re doing fine considering the fact that you just came in with PSYC 101, and I’ve heard that 220 and 245 are tough anyway. Maybe try to add Social Psychology - it’s really easy.
