Class Schedules

When do the individual colleges usually post class schedules for incoming freshman? Particularly HumEc.

I know some of the colleges allow the freshman to start from scratch, but i am pretty sure HumEc chooses classes for the freshman.

Also, what happens if the schedule includes classes that my D doesn't need to take due to AP/IB test scores?

From my understanding, (as incoming HumEc student) that well get our schedules during orientation and make the changes we want during Drop/Add time. What i dont understand is how they make the decisions like when we would prefer our classes, like if i would rather have my classes later or if i would rather spread my classes out over the week or focus them into specific days or whatnot.

for most colleges, expecially humec, they choose general classes depending on what major u choose. During add/drop u have the option to change the classes. For example pre med students will prolly be put in bio, chem, nutrition or hd and then they choose their own pe and fws

they usually choose that for u as well. The times are usually reasonable unless ur an early bird
