it seems like everyone that asks for class scheduling is a math or science major. what classes should i take if i am undeclared social science major, maybe planning on attending law school? do i have to take math/science courses to maybe get into law school? will it hurt me if i dont? thanks. oh btw, do non art majors just take art for fun? does it look like a less rigorous course on the transcript?

seeing as how you are undeclared, i think you should just take GE classes because you need to have those done. Then when you decide what your major will be, start taking those classes (but hopefully not too late)

GE's don't help much in assisting you in selecting a major, but in your case since te field of social science is quite large, you can take Writing I classes, some GEs, and an intro class from whichever field you are leaning towards (sociology, anthropology, political science, communication studies, geography, economics, etc..)

Why not? There are GE's in each major - take some of those classes for GE's in whatever majors you think you might like, and go from there.

I would recommend philosophy for Law school, btw :) - not a very easy major, but well worth it.

My point was that one wouldn't want to waste a year solely enrolling in GEs, and then declaring a major. An intro class in a field that he/she is leaning towards is more appropriate, like philosophy as you suggested.
