Class/School Ring?

I never got a college ring decades ago when I graduated-

As a parent, I'm wondering at what stage students get a class/school ring (or parents get one for their student?) Is this something a student gets as a senior when graduation is imminent? After grad?

I know it's expensive & obviously an optiional thing, but I've been thinking about it for my d and was just wondering what folks experiences were...

Most students get their USC class rings during grad week which usually occurs in Febrary of the senior year. I am going to go look at the company that makes them and will post here soon.

I ordered mine during grad fair week since they did a discount if you ordered at the grad fair.

I got my Jostens-made ring years after I graduated and wear it every day. That ring has triggered more networking opportunities (i.e., conversations from strangers) resulting in clients, jobs, and other “fringe” benefits than I can count. It’s an eye catcher and I strongly encourage all alumni, especially businessmen, to wear one. I recommend the traditional cut with school colors in 14 karat gold. It’s a great investment that will yield ROI for years!

I never bothered with a class ring, and can’t remember anyone wearing one, from any school.

Class rings seem to have been replaced by license plate holders with your school’s name on it.

Don’t let those who sit home, don’t travel for business or interact socially with non-academic professionals discourage you. Get your USC class ring and wear it with pride. You’ll especially enjoy wearing it during football season at your favorite sports bar, restaurant, work, while on the road or at networking events.

Fight On!

Thanks for the tips on grad fair and grad week. WHEN to buy it is the question- I know she wants one. We all have license plate holders too! (along with sweat shirts, t-shirts, coffee mugs, baseball caps … lol … Trojan family all the way!
