I'm an incoming freshman at UCSB, but I won't be able to make any of the recommended summer orientations.

However, I don't want to be behind on class sign-ups, so how would I go about doing finding which classes to take, and how to sign up for them, etc?

Please and thank you!

call them directly

look up the catalog.

[University of California, Santa Barbara - Catalog Home](<a href=“http://my.sa.ucsb.edu/Catalog/Current/Index.aspx]University ”>UC Santa Barbara General Catalog - Catalog Home )

note that this is an older version of the catalog.

use the course descriptions and class requirements under the majors/minors to make your decisions.

Thank you everybody! That helps a lot. :)

But another thing:

Halie,
When would we be able to sign up for classes?

I was told pass time 2, which is in a few weeks (I have it written on my calendar but I’m sure its available on the ucsb website somewhere).

ucsb pass times are on ucsb gold. you need to log in with your umail username and password.
