Berkeley does better than any other UC in these by a sizeable margin.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=189661

Yes, but umm...did Michelle Kwan go to Berkeley? Hmmm?!

I think NOT!

:p

According to my methodology, school with the tallest clocktower, Berkeley is number 1!

:p

Damn. UCLA loses again.

On a serious note, I'm quite interested to see how the top UCs compare quite well to many well-known privates, including NYU, Chicago, and JHU. Hell, UCLA and Berkeley both (out)perform an Ivy or two.

There goes all that talk of uber 6 billion people classes.

Haha no, it's going to stay, but this goes to show that it's unfounded, at least in MANY ways.

This thread should be stickied.

Agreed. Sadly, many would rather stick to their preconceptions, sort of like how everyone things Berkeley students verbally or psychologically abuse each other in their INTENSE competition for the highest grade.

^ You and me are like the only posters on at this time.

You and me and sakky should be best friends :)

We weren't already?!?!

:shockedfacethatIdon't know how to make:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA.

I believe this one would be rather appropriate

Indeed!

Is the basis for this thread worthy of the ultimate sticker status as well? Perhaps more so?

Perhaps, I like the banter between you and UCLAri.

You gotta top his post count. If you do, it means Cal is a superior school to UCLA

Hmmm. I think I had the advantage for a while, but over the past couple weeks have been waverning somewhat because of vacations, summer, negative feelings from posters like Shiboing and his former handles becoming more boring, more intollerable, and more idiotic, laziness, an attempt to allow more fresh topics into focus . . . but hopefully I can once again rain (and perhaps reign) supreme over UCLAri and UCLA. GO BEARS!

HAHAHA, no excuses DRab. I believe all of lifes problems can be answered by starting a thread on CC about it!! ha. You best catch up to UCLAri quick or else...

In any case, I've always wondered why you guys say Shiboing/cantsilencetruth/political whatever his name was are all one person?

Maybe I'm just incredibly emo because I'm not sure if sakky knows it's "D*Rab" and not "Drab." Y'know, phonetically "dee rab" and *not the word "drab." :(

Well, it's quite obvious that the four names (cantsilencetruth, collegesenior, liberal censors, and the fourth one, I forget what it was) are all from the same person, although at times he attempted to pretend that he wasn't the same person. Shiboing boing now just seems to be sounding more like the previous poster, with the same interests and knowledge of law and Rice (and therefore Texas and the South like the previous poster), similar criticisms of Berkeley (although often lacking the traditional inlamed rhetoric as before, but increasingly there), similar unsubstantiated claims, generalizations, and accusations, and similar argumentative styles and viewpoints, including the classic "Berkeley is nothing special in any way, really, besides perhaps in-state engineering and business, so nobody should attend because it's like everywhere else but worse in some ways" and "science/technical/mathematics and "the practical majors" are superior to those other frivolous subjects." I'm not definite, but it lately it seems that shiboing is probably collegesenior/etc.

Make a thread about it and let him know :)

Nice inferrence. While we are on the subject, I would like to reveal that I am also the following posters: byerly, nspeds, and Rooger Dooley. I win ;)

Dang. I have been fooled. How is it that you manage to read so much philosophy, currently learn German at Middleberry (with a vow of speaking nothing but German that you are currently breaking all over the place), promote Harvard (especially talking about they ways in which it is much better than Stanford and how it is generally awesome), talk about Berkeley, and . . . do whatever Dooley does all at the same time? Perhaps that's why you're on at these hours?

You know me all too well DRab ;)

The class size is even better for Fall Extension students, most are 70 at the largest.
