I've heard that the class size varies depending on what course you're taking (from 25-300 students), but I just was just wondering: does it feel like you blend in with the rest of the class? Are you able to receive personal attention, if needed? Is the class size overwhelming or uncomfortable in any way?

Any comments on the class size would be helpful. Thanks! :)

As far as i know, personal attention rarely exists in your first 2 years, especially GE courses. You can, however, get personal attention in some of your major classes(depend on major), and small classes like writing 1,2 if you need to take them. Don’t worry too much about personal attention since there are a lot more opportunity you can get if you’re not lazy. A discussion group is roughly around 25 ppl max, and you can ask questions there. CLAS will provide you with 2 classes per week, and it’s like a classroom. You can also email the professors and T.A.s, give them like 24 hours to respond and you should be fine. There are office hours where you can ask the professors questions about lectures. You can make appointments with the professor for extra help if needed. There are tons of ways to get help here, just don’t be lazy and actually try to get it. No one is gonna hold your hand.

so basically, if you take the initiative, you can get the help you need, right?

at the meeting they said some intro courses can be up to 800 kids!!

yeah, I remember. That was at Campbell Hall, but they said it was only a few freshmen seminars.
