<p>What is the average class size? I know that freshman have a writing class with 18 students, and can take a first year seminar which has a maximum of 20 students. How many students are generally in the rest of the classes? Beyond freshman year, what is the average class size?</p>

<p>Most of the classes I see have a 35 or 50 student maximum, except for obviously the large lecture hall classes. I think a lot of the giant lectures have discussion or lab sections, which will usaually be something like 30. </p>

<p>Take a look at this, for those classes you can sort of gauge how many students are in those large lectures.</p>
