hmmm...i think in the 20s? some are smaller, depending on the level.

Are classes at AU taught by teaching assistants (TA) or professors?

Princeton Review reports no TAs, and if this is wrong, it can't be many. my d. is almost finished with her first year...no TAs.

Science Lab classes are taught by TA.

A small number of intro-level classes are taught by graduate students, but for the majority of classes, expect real professors.

swmass-- what about class sizes, especially for intro classes like English or Biology? Thanks!

Class size normally will not exceed 25.

The lecture part of science classes however, is rather big (expect 80+). Labs, however, are generally capped at 15 students. Some general education courses will also have many students (my music class last semester had 100+). But most classes are small. One of my classes last semester had 13 students, which was really great. :)

and one of my d's classes had only 4 or 5 !

intro econ classes can be 250 students. However, most classes are under 30, one of the big advantages of AU IMO.
